It is our dedicated staff that makes our success possible. Without these key staff team members, none of this would be possible. This is an All-Star staff wealthy in their personal experience, unique skill sets, and absolute passion. By design, some of our Live-In House Management Staff are recent graduates of our program, making them a beacon of hope to our newest residents and an example of what may be accomplished in a relatively short amount of time.
Scott Wisenbaker – Founding Executive Director, Crisis Interventionist
Scott spent much of his early years in the pursuit of his music career, often experiencing moderate success only to watch it all crumble due to untimely deaths of band mates as well as missed opportunities from other consequences related to his addiction. In 1995, Scott was introduced to the solution that changed his life forever and decided to dedicate his life to helping others find that same solution. After years of working with addicts and alcoholics to find a solution to their problem, Scott opened Solutions of North Texas in 2006 in the hopes of providing more. Scott envisioned a structured sober living environment that would be strong in principles and rich in solutions. He started working with men in 2006 and added a women’s facility in 2007. Solutions of North Texas grew rapidly and programs were created to give addicts and their families the support and services uniquely designed for them.
Solutions of North Texas and its unique approach to re-entry captured the attention of The White House, the substance abuse industry, and the North Texas community. Solutions of North Texas, it’s recovery model and critical collaborations, have been featured on newscasts from KDAF 33, CBS 11, NBC-DFW Ch.5, and WFAA Ch.8. Scott has also been featured in a number of newspaper articles, radio stations talk show, and has had a number of articles published.
Leslie Wisenbaker – Admissions Director
Leslie comes from a project management background. She moved to the non-profit sector to become the Program Director of Solutions in 2006. Through the last ten years, Leslie has nourished Sontx and its staff into a thriving organization filled with passionate employees who follow Leslie toward a central mission: Recovery for alcoholics and addicts.
Leslie brings a wealth of experience to Solutions in Program Development, Strategic Planning, Leadership Development, Procurement, Business accounting and Non-profit management. She has a certification in Nonprofit Management from UT, and is a graduate of Project Blueprint.
Leslie also volunteers for many local organization in Denton.

Dr. Victor Vines, MD – Medical Director
Dr. Victor Vines, MD is an addiction medicine specialist in Grand Prairie, TX and has been practicing for 30 years. He graduated from University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center At Dallas in 1984 and specializes in addiction medicine.
Rahna Cutting, MS, LPC, LCDC, CFLE – Counselor
Mrs. Rahna Cutting earned a Masters of Arts degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE), and certified school teacher. Rahna is ‘PACE” trained (Professional Academy of Custody Evaluators). She endeavors to utilize her knowledge of addictions and her skills with conflicted families to assist in bringing peace to troubled lives. Rahna is the clinical consultant for the ‘Denton County Repeat Offender DWI Court’ that provides special treatment options for misdemeanor and felony clients. She is one of two clinical consultants for the ‘Denton County Veterans’ Treatment Court Program’, providing specific substance abuse and family assistance to area vet offenders in need of additional counseling and support. Rahna has served on the Denton County Grand Jury, as well as previously provided substance abuse training for the Denton County CASA volunteers. She is actively involved in her church as well as various community organizations. Rahna and Ken have been married for 15+years; she is the mother and bonus mother of six children. She and Ken delight in their grandson, Hudson. Rahna is the daughter of a Korean War veteran, the wife of a Viet Nam veteran, and the mother of an active duty Iraq/Afghanistan war veteran.
Jason Church – Director of Residential Services
Raised in the North Dallas area, Jason was an avid music fan who pursued his passion to the globally renowned University of North Texas to study music. Leading up to and through college, he has performed all over the country and played with several award-winning artists, achieving numerous awards and accolades. Now living with the peace of mind and freedom from self that being recovered offers, Jason completed our program in March of 2011. He has a background in Hospitality\Sales\Sales Management and finds great joy in conceptualizing; tuning, achieving goals to better serve those around him. Whether he is working in a sober living residence, speaking to a group of new people, or serving in a leadership role, Jason takes his understanding of being recovered very seriously and finds great peace in sharing his insight and learning from those seeking help. He is one of many examples of how being honest, open minded, and willing can provide a new design for living that far exceeded any expectations. Jason has been involved with North Texas Food Bank, Grace, and Habitat for Humanity. He is a great example of practicing what he preaches making him a great addition to our Team.
Jeremy Grace – Compliance Officer
Jeremy Grace entered our program in September of 2009. Having tried countless times to achieve sobriety, Jeremy reached the jumping off point; he reached out for help one last time and tried something different. After 5 months as a resident, he was offered a house manager position and eventually was hired on as a full time staff member. Drawing on years of management in the hospitality industry, Jeremy is currently our Compliance Officer. As a recovered alcoholic/addict, Jeremy has reached out to many suffering alcoholics/addicts in his personal life. Visiting hospitals and mental institutions to speak with those seeking help is one of Jeremy’s great passions. Jeremy is an active member of a 12-step fellowship and strives to practice spiritual principles.
Christina Nichols – Accounting Manager
With a background in the armed forces as a Legal Specialist with several recommendations, Christina also has experience in insurance finance and banking before she went through our program at Solutions of North Texas in 2009. In 2011 she started her career with Solutions of North Texas as a House Manager and quickly moved into a full time staff position in the intake department where she eventually became the department head. Christina currently heads up our accounting department where her love of details makes this position a great fit. Christina enjoys traveling overseas to spend time with her oldest daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren as well as spending time with her family locally.

Julia Robinson – Intake Coordinator
Julia is a recovered opiate addict and alcoholic from New Jersey/Philadelphia. After countless rehabilitation centers and hospital stays, she relocated to Texas in 2015 only to find herself once again caught in the grips of her addiction. She came to Solutions in September of 2015 hopeless and convinced she would never be able to recover from her addiction. As a resident in our program she found that there was hope and her whole attitude and outlook on life changed. She became a member of our House Staff where she learned new means of being of service to others. She enjoys making others laugh and expressing the ability to just be herself, something she never thought was possible. Julia is able to use her life experiences to relate to those who are struggling and has a passion to help others in hopes they receive the same freedom she has.
Julia and her husband, Derek, have recently welcomed an adorable baby girl, Raelin into their family.
Michelle Boerst – Public Relations/Events
Michelle Boerst graduated from UTA with a B.A. in Public Relations. She stayed at home with her two kids for several years while honing her writing skills at the hometown newspaper, The Town Charter. Michelle re-entered the workplace on our staff as an Administrative Assistant in 2011 and moved into the Public Relations Coordinator position in 2012. Michelle is our people person. She coordinates all the volunteers and the interns. She talks us up to anyone who will listen in the community. If you want a tour of the facility or just a laugh, she’s the one to see. Michelle makes sure that everyone knows Solutions, what we do and why we do it. Michelle has been in the Denton/Aubrey community for 13 years and has volunteered for many organizations from Girl Scouts to local non-profit organizations. Michelle spends her free time raising two kids, two dogs, two cats and thousands of honeybees.

After relocating from the New York Metropolitan area in 2005 to North Texas, Jan found herself once more shooting heroin and cocaine after a short period of sobriety. 13 detoxes and 27 treatment centers later along with several excursions through the hospitality of the correctional departments in 2 different states, she reluctantly came to Solutions in May of 2013 physically and mentally broken and has been clean and sober ever since. Jan was educated at SUNY Westchester and Fordham University and plans to continue her education next year. She spent a year as a featured Voices columnist at the Dallas Morning News and has experience in business management in both the private and health care sector and has worked for Daytop Village Rehabilitation Center as a Facilities Manager. After being House Manager at our women’s facility, she became our Case Manager and Crisis Interventionist, working with families all over the state to move their loved ones, and themselves, towards treatment and recovery. Jan is also a member of the Denton County Mental Health Court Treatment Team, a diversionary court for offenders with significant mental health challenges, often times coupled with substance use issues. Jan does outreach work with the Denton City Jail as well as the Denton County Jail, doing on-site initial assessments and interviews. She is the ridiculously proud mother of a 15 year old son and a giant Great Dane puppy, makes a mean meatball and is a very grateful member of the staff at Solutions

James Reisch – Case Manager
In 2015, Jimmy found himself once again spiraling out of control after years of addiction to methamphetamine and heroin and made a decision to do things differently. After 25 years of trying to get clean, interaction with the legal system and many treatment experiences, Jimmy arrived at our door and has been with us ever since. He quickly became our lead house manager and in 2016, he joined our staff full time in case management for our Men’s residential program and is now Case Manager serving all of our residents and their families. Jimmy has a particular passion for helping those with a criminal past and history of homelessness. He uses his personal experience to reach some of our most challenging clients.
James is a California native who worked in the telecommunications industry for years. He is a talented musician and also works sometimes with his father restoring homes.

Ryan Mitchell, MS, LCDC – Clinical Director
Ryan is a native of Denton and developed his passion for helping others while earning his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Texas. After graduating with a Master of Science in Psychology, he returned to Denton to make a positive impact on the community where he grew up. In applying his knowledge base and counseling skills to efforts in the non-profit industry, Ryan is working where he can be of maximum benefit to those in his hometown who need it most. While specializing in work with addicts and alcoholics, he has experience with a wide range of mental health issues and seeks to help everybody live a full life, with value and meaning, in every day. In his spare time, Ryan is usually found reading a science fiction novel or training jiu jitsu.
Jackie Davis, LCDC – Counselor
Jackie moved to Texas from Virginia in November of 1997 while struggling with an addiction to cocaine. After returning to active addiction she decided to enter sober living at Success House in Brownwood, Texas. She had a relapse after leaving sober living in February 2006. In September of that same year she decided to be committed to her recovery thanks to the pressure of pending criminal charges and fear of losing her family. In Brownwood, Texas, she was Program Manager of Sigma XII House, a sober living house geared to the needs of women for five years. During that time she earned two degrees from college, AAS in Information Technology and AAS in Chemical Dependency Counseling. Jackie has worked as a counselor at Cenikor Foundation and Valley Hope of Grapevine and is excited about being on staff at Solutions. She has been married for many years to a wonderful man, Corey, a proud parent of two daughters, Evelyn and Heather, and a beautiful nine year old granddaughter named Kiki. She enjoys spending time with family and spoiling her three dogs, Freedom, Justice, and Glory.
Sharon Primavera, MA, LPC, LCDCi – Counselor
Sharon is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 1998 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Academics and in 2013 with an M.A. in Counseling. Sharon became certified in trauma through The Colin A. Ross Institute for Psychological Trauma/Trauma Model Therapy in 2017.
Prior to Solutions, Sharon worked as an outpatient therapist with teens and their families and worked inpatient as a trauma therapist with adults and their families at a local mental health organization.
She provides a non-judgmental and compassionate atmosphere where clients can safely explore and work through feelings, thoughts, and beliefs, that may be keeping them stuck in the cycle of addiction.
Outside of work Sharon enjoys reading, crafting, spending time with family and friends, and yoga. She is actively involved in her church and the mother of two adult children and a son-in-law.
Dominique Derden MS, LCDC – Counselor
Regan Browne – Administrative Assistant
Regan is from Durant, Oklahoma. She had a full ride scholarship to play basketball for East Central University in Ada, OK. She graduated with a degree in criminal justice. Things soon became a blur due to her alcohol addiction. Regan entered our program in January of 2017 and soon became a house manager for our women’s house She then came onto our office staff as our administrative assistant.
