“For me, the experience at Family Day at Solutions was the beginning of a new way to think. The change that occurs when addiction enters your family’s life happen over a period of time. You begin to live life with this unknown of “how” to act, to answer, to deal with this disease of addiction. For me, I did not know what to do when my life was taking this uncharted course. The information we received, the honest discussions, the questions we got to ask at Family Day all came together to equip me with a set of basics that allowed me to get my true North recalibrated for my life! They gave me tools to use in communicating, in setting boundaries, and in just letting it be acceptable to protect my well being. With their help, I can process and plan how I will respond to the issues that come with addiction for a family member and am able to rely on a compass that points true North!”
