Seth's House
In loving memory of Bradford “Seth” Rakestraw
Opened in May 2006, Seth’s House is the inaugural location and phase of Solutions of North Texas. The Rakestraw family being very dear to us and our cause lost their beloved son Seth at the early age of just 21 years old. Seth's short time on this earth afforded him many talents, friends, and wonderful family who all cherish the time they had and dearly miss his smile and sense of humor.
Without question a unanimous decision was made between the Rakestraw family and ourselves. A decision that there was no better way to honor his memory than a dedication in his honor, the house where it all began.
This is the location where our men start their journey to a life of freedom if they are willing to follow our directions and adopt a new way of life guided by spiritual principals.
Some of us have taken very hard knocks to learn this truth: Job or no job - wife or no wife - we simply do not stop drinking so long as we place dependence upon other people ahead of dependence on God. (pg. 98 Alcoholics Anonymous Basic Text)
