What can I do when someone is missing?

Sometimes our person is missing for days or weeks at a time, sometimes for years. Often when someone is caught up in the lifestyle of addiction they end up in places they never imagined - jails, cheap motels, drug houses, homeless camps, etc... The point is that for one reason or another they have fallen out of touch. Our biggest concern is often not just for their safety, but are they still alive? Would they accept help? Do they believe they are forgotten and all alone?

These are just some of the nagging questions we might deal with each and every day.

Locating someone can be time consuming and very costly. Depending on the information available cooperation and location, each case is entirely unique. By utilizing a host of various professionals and networks (friends, police, private detectives, skip tracers, hotel staff, homeless contacts, etc...) individuals can often be found and contact is made.

Sometimes a person can be found very quickly at a minimal cost if they are currently incarcerated. In other cases they have gone to great lengths to remain off the grid due to legal or family issues. In either case this is a service that works on a retainer basis. It is of paramount importance to understand there are no guarantees that an individual can be located or willing to change their current lifestyle. In some cases a combination of several contacts and hardships is what it takes to lead an individual to change.
